Porn Addiction

Research shows remarkable neurological similarities between substance addiction and compulsive pornography consumption. ³⁴ Watching pornography and using addictive drugs releases the same amount of dopamine. 

Finding porn is easier than ever, and increasingly more hardcore and extreme. If a child has been exposed to hardcore images and videos, studies have shown that they often find themselves wanting to watch them again, without fully understanding the meaning or impact of what they have seen.³⁵

Furthermore, adolescents who view porn are more likely to become addicted to it, as their brains are still developing and are at their peak dopamine production.³⁶
